Data protection notice
We, Generation Tech Partners GmbH, take the protection of your personal data seriously and follow data protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Digital Services Act (DDG). This notice explains the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on www.generationtech.partners.

2. General information on data processing
We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website, our content and our services. Each processing operation relies on one of the legal bases below; the relevant one is stated for each operation.
Personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under tax law) require otherwise.
- Consent: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (for example analytics cookies, newsletter)
- Contract and pre-contractual measures: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (for example handling inquiries and applications)
- Legitimate interest: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (for example server log files, handling business inquiries)
3. Provision of the website and log files
Each time our website is accessed, data is recorded automatically from the accessing device: IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the file requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.
The website is hosted on secure servers. The IP address is stored only temporarily to deliver the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical provision and security of the website). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed, usually after seven days at the latest, unless longer storage is required for security reasons.
4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies, small text files stored on your device. Essential cookies are needed for the basic functions of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics cookies help us understand how the website is used, for example Google Analytics (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent). We use a cookie consent banner to obtain your consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie banner or disable cookies in your browser settings. This may limit the functionality of the website.
5. Google Analytics and Google Maps
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The data collected includes the anonymized IP address, date and time of the visit, page views and time on page, and the referrer URL. The data is transferred to Google servers in the USA.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via the cookie banner). Purpose: analysing usage to improve the website and our services. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Data is deleted automatically after 14 months. You can prevent collection by refusing consent in the cookie banner or by installing Google's browser add-on to disable Google Analytics.
Google Maps (two-click solution): our German contact page shows our location with Google Maps, a map service of Google Ireland Limited. The map does not load automatically. You first see a placeholder. Your browser connects to Google only after you click “Karte laden” (load map) or allow marketing content in the cookie banner. A click on the button applies to that page view only. Your browser then transmits in particular your IP address, date and time, the page visited and browser and device details to Google. Google may set cookies and transfer data to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent in the cookie banner at any time with effect for the future.
6. Contact and inquiry forms
You can reach us through our contact and inquiry forms, for example for a succession inquiry, a deal submission or the AI potential analysis. We process the details you enter, in particular name, email address, phone number (if given) and the content of your message.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is handling business inquiries. We do not ask for consent to handle your inquiry. Purpose: handling your inquiry in connection with our services (for example business succession or M&A transactions). The data is deleted once the inquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Newsletter: we send our newsletter only with your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You confirm the subscription by email (double opt-in) and can withdraw consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every issue.
Applications: we process application data to carry out the application process under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG and store it for six months. Longer storage in our talent pool takes place only with your separate consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We pass your data to third parties only where this is necessary for the purpose:
- Hosting provider: website hosting (processing within the EU)
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics and, with your consent, Google Maps (transfer to the USA possible, see section 5)
8. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures such as SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) to protect your data against unauthorized access. The website is hosted on secure servers in the EU. Complete security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.
